Improve Your Crooked Teeth, Bite With Clear Brackets
Need crooked teeth fixed but cannot deal with the embarrassment that sometimes comes with metal braces? Our Pinecrest dental office uses metal braces for children and adults – especially to correct major bite problems – but sometimes there are other, noninvasive ways to correct your smile.
At Greenstein Dental, we offer revolutionary Invisalign treatment that can fix your crooked teeth without using attachments, wires, or brackets. Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to gradually move your teeth into position. The treatment is typically faster and less invasive than traditional orthodontics.
Dr. Greenstein often uses Invisalign as the final phase in treatment to rid patients of TMJ-related problems. Using Invisalign, Greenstein Dental can also realign crooked teeth, close gaps in teeth, correct crowded teeth, and fix bite issues.
The Beauty of Invisalign
Invisalign has a cosmetic advantage over traditional braces and is easily removed for eating and cleaning. We recommend that our Invisalign patients wear the aligners for about 23 hours a day, though you can remove the trays for special occasions. During your Invisalign treatment, you’ll switch out your aligners about once every two weeks – we’ll send you home with new trays during your monthly office visits. One of the biggest advantages to Invisalign is that you get to smile with confidence during your treatment!
Invisalign is a noninvasive and safe procedure that can be completed with little discomfort. Unlike metal braces, you don’t have to worry about new brackets or tight wires causing you soreness for weeks. Because the aligners are plastic, the treatment is easier on your gums and teeth, so there’s absolutely no possibility that a bracket or sharp wire will cut your gums or cheeks. Patients who use Invisalign also have an easier time caring for their teeth because the aligners are removable and there are no obstructions to brush or floss around.
Are You an Invisalign Candidate?
Invisalign certainly isn’t for everyone. Patients who suffer from more severe bite issues or impacted teeth will likely need traditional orthodontic care. A lot of our Invisalign patients have mildly crooked teeth, or they had braces as a child and saw their teeth shift after the treatment. To ensure that Invisalign is right for you, Dr. Greenstein and our talented dental staff will evaluate your smile to determine the best treatment.
Using 3D CAD/CAM technology, we can plan out your entire treatment and design your trays. Much like orthodontic wires, each Invisalign tray is specifically designed to move certain teeth. An average Invisalign treatment takes about 12 months, whereas traditional orthodontics can take two years or even longer.
After you’ve completed your treatment, you’ll wear clear retainers to maintain the position of your teeth. Invisalign is an incredible tool that gives you the power during your treatment! Patients are simply amazed at the convenience of Invisalign and the incredible results.
